Esteban Valentin’s modified 2002 – COTM April 2021

My BMW 2002 with US VIN was manufactured on April 17th, 1974 and delivered on April 18th, 1974 to the BMW importer Hoffman Motors Corp. in New York City. The original colour was Granatrot Metallic, paint code 025.

I have been able to trace the history of about 8 past owners with three of them being local in Florida. These have helped piece together much of the history on the car. I purchased in March 2019 up in South Carolina. I saw the car for the first time in December 2018 and couldn’t stop thinking about purchasing so struck a deal a few months later. Car was in great shape to start and I added tweaks to make my own. The car has a 74 tii engine although it is a base model VIN. A refreshed Kugelfisher pump was installed mid 2019 and the car was fine tuned by a specialized mechanic that has worked on 2002’s for decades, many track dedicated.
