On February 20th 2002 I arranged a day-out for the 02’s to celebrate this monumental date.

We started at Munich Legends and then went to L&C Croydon to see Tim Higgnets rare collection of Classic BMW’s.

I recall low mileage examples including M5 E28’s, 2 M1’s, a 2002 Turbo, a Glas GT and more E30 M3’s than I could count.

In the evening we headed for the City of London where I’d booked a Thai resturant and we managed to park all the cars around Finsbury Circus (shame it was so dark).

 

This collection was auctioned a few years later when Tim retired, he did keep one of the M1’s I recall and I think BMW UK brought the CSL, Turbo and 328. At the time I remember they seemed above market price, but in today’s world were a good investment.
