Car of the month August 2006
I bought this baby in December 2005 just a week before Xmas so you can say it was a early Xmas present to me timed it right, I've been on the hunt for this model for some time talking years, so one day I was surfing the web and came across loads of models in good and bad conditions kept by owners who were selling models for reasons, and this one caught my eye I was very careful on details on this one. I saved the picture on it on my desk top and every morning I’d have a sneak preview on it which made my heart love it day to day but something was saying go for it - you know what I mean?
I read up on the selling history on it sounded just spot on as owner before me had done some work on it like underseal new parts here there very well maintained and loved I think that was the selling point that got me to go down to view it she was bought from Chester/Manchester was worth the drive and effort and got a deal on it as owner wanted a fast sale for other reasons he could not keep her and he will miss her as it was a day to day drive into Manchester city for him bit of a head turner mind you as nowhere generation have not seen a 2002tii this type as they only know about the present BMWs.
I get loads of spectators stop and smile/thumbs up as I take her for drives over the weekend as she is a weekend car only I own a Audi at present for work and home Mondays to Fridays, but the 2002 comes out on the weekend for a run etc.
Her body spec is immaculate NO welding at all from production since 1975 as I've had her looked at by car specialist BMW engineer at Heathrow BMW showroom they were very impressed to see the 2002 on how she has held herself strong in body and engine so I have got reassurance on that inspection from the main dealers that's a bonus on a selling point on the long run but not in mind to sell at all.
Now the interior is all intact very, very clean all to its original spec RHD 4 speed gear sandy beige leatherette the only thing that makes it look authentic is the drivers seat saddle is split on the seat due to wear and tear that I don't mind as it will be hand stitched back.

MY PROJECT TO IT:
THE CARPET : Its still in great spec but I’m gonna replace it to same colour but in WILTON carpets which they fit out Bentley/RR/ the colour will be in beige and the throw over mats will be made to original spec with stitched piping to the edges with the sign 2002tii stitched on the face of the drivers/passengers floor throw over mats to give it that touch of classic class.
The End
I hope I’ve been clear on my future project/s and spec towards this fine machine.
Kind regards
Raj.
